→ Saltgrass Steak House is coming to Village Pointe this winter, to the spot formerly occupied by Stroud’s and Mimi’s.
The chain restaurant, which focuses on capturing “the flavor of the open campfire,” focuses on grilled steak, chicken and seafood.
Saltgrass has locations in a dozen states, including many in Texas.
→ Barnato Lounge, a new cocktail bar and live music venue, plans to open in Village Pointe, also; it’s another project co-produced by Maven Social, who recently opened Alice in West Omaha and also runs The Berry and Rye and Monarch Prime, among other restaurants and bars; and 88 Restaurant Group, which runs Hiro 88 and Local, among others.
The website promises an early 2020 opening at 225 N. 170th Ave.
→ Sea Thai and Wine Bar is open near 180th and Pacific Streets. The restaurant has a variety of Thai entrees and soups, plus a handful of Chinese fried rice and entree choices. It’s at 17903 Pierce Plaza.
