A 64-restaurant tournament to crown the best wings in Omaha and Lincoln

The 2024 Sarah Baker Hansen food bracket is back and this year, we’re launching a battle for the best Buffalo wings. The showdown, which will include restaurants in both the Omaha and Lincoln metro areas, launches in tandem with March Madness.

On March 17, we revealed the first-round matchups in our wings bracket and open the voting. We’ve seeded restaurants from across the area, just like the NCAA basketball tournament bracket, and your vote will help choose who moves on. There will be blowout victories and shocking upsets, and then we’ll do it all over again for the next round. And you can vote in every round!

This contest ended at noon on Monday, April 8, 2024.

2024 WINGS BRACKET CHAMPION: OSCAR’S PIZZA & SPORTS GRILLE

Oscar’s Pizza & Sports Grille was crowned our champion by beating Tracks Lounge in the final. It was our closest championship match ever — Oscars won by two votes, 1871 to 1869!

CONTEST RULES

1. Voting dates
   Round 1 voting: March 18-21
   Round 2: March 22-25
   Sweet 16: March 25-27
   Elite 8: March 27-30
   Final Four: March 30-April 3
   Championship: April 3-8
2. The bracket allows one vote per matchup per round. You can vote for each of the 32 matchups in the first round, for example, but you can’t vote 20 times in a row for your favorite wings place. The voting software won’t allow it.
3. You must share your name and a working email address to vote. I won’t give your contact info to anyone else, but I will sign you up for my weekly newsletter. If you enter a fake email address, we’ll delete your votes.
