My 2020 Thanksgiving menu

I am sure by this point you have your Thanksgiving menu sorted, whatever it might be. But even so, I thought I’d share some last-minute inspiration in what I decided to make for my first ever Thanksgiving — one like no other.

I pan to scale down most of the recipes below since we’re just going to be two diners, but I am going to make a full turkey (we love leftovers!) and a full pan of stuffing (it’s Matthew’s favorite) and two pies because why the hell not.

I sincerely hope I won’t be cooking Thanksgiving dinner next year, but maybe one or two of these dishes will make the cut and I’ll be able to share them with my family in 2021, something I’d be truly thankful for.

Without further ado, here’s my menu. Happy Thanksgiving.

I will try PW’s cranberry sauce as I love homemade—and have a lot of NH maple syrup on hand! Another fave is the NY TIMES cranberry-jalapeño sauce recipe, which is especially good with leftovers or turkey sandwiches. Since discovering Food52’s stress-free vodka pie dough recipe a few years back, it’s been a real game changer for me. Happy Thanksgiving!

Good tips! I upgraded my cranberry sauce a little by using a blood orange and the juice. It’s pretty tasty! I made it last night.
