→ Au Courant has added brunch to its menu for good. The Benson restaurant will serve Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Check out its Instagram for the full list of new hours. (I can’t wait to see what’s on that brunch menu, by the way.) Au Courant is at 6064 Maple St.
→ V. Mertz is also serving Sundays. The classic downtown restaurant is adding Sunday dinner service starting at 5 p.m. Check out its Facebook page for all the details. V. Mertz is at 1022 Howard St. in the Passageway.
→ Two new bakeries are open. Grand Patisserie, a new bakery serving macarons, cakes and other delicacies, is open near 144th and West Center Rd. And Brownie Bar has taken over the former Oma’s Deli space in the Old Market. The DIY-bakery lets customers top their brownie with a selection of sauces, fruit and other sweets. It’s at 1217 Leavenworth St.
→ Square Donut, a new bakery, also plans to open soon in West Omaha, at 15825 W. Maple Rd. Presumably they’ll serve square doughnuts? We’ll see.
→ Taqueria Chingon hinted at a new location on its Facebook page this week. The tiny Benson taco shop posted about its “last menu in its current location.” More soon.
→ Sickie’s Garage announced its opening date: Jan. 13. The restaurant, known for its menu of 50 burgers and 50 beers, will be in Bellevue at 1203 Cornhusker Rd.

I was lucky enough to snag an invite to the soft opening this Sat. Looks to be a great new spot for Bellevue.
